my first attempt at freelensing.
I really dig macro shots but I can’t get myself to drop the dime on a fancy macro lens, and up until now I was using the reversed lens trick with very little success. But, recently I stumbled across this tutorial on freelensing. It focuses on the creation of tilt-shift effects but I dived a little deeper and discovered you can use freelensing to create so much more. As far as macros go, I’ve achieved crisper and clearer photographs using freelensing than I ever have with a reversed lens. Try it out! If you have any questions (or comments) about freelensing don’t hesitate to ask.
